12-Day Peaks Of the Balkan Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Shkodra.
- We will pick you up from the airport and drive you to Shkodra.
- A short city tour, dinner, and overnight accommodations are included.
Day 2: Cemi valley
- We continue our Balkan tour with a drive up to Selca through the Cem valley on the twisting road.
- Hike up to the Sllapi waterfall and after lunch, we travel to Lëpushë.
- Guests are accommodated in a guesthouse.
Day 3: Trojani peak
- Hike to Trojani Pass, then up a tougher path to the summit.
- Return to the guesthouse using the same trail.
Day 4: Trekking up to “Buni i Jezercës”
- Drive to Vermosh, then past the settlements of Guci and Vuthaj.
- We then continue our Balkan Tour to Zastan, where our climb will begin.
- The trail winds through the forests, gradually ascending to Buni I Jezercs, which is home to six glacial lakes.
- Tents are available for accommodation.
Day 5: Arapi mountain and Theth
- Hike to the Jezerca Pass in the southwest, then via the Runica field, to the Peçakeqi glacier lake, and up to the Arapi summit.
- We go up to Peja Pass, then descend to Thethi.
- Accommodation in guesthouse.
Day 6: Theth
- Visit the village, then we continue our Balkan tour to the Grunas Canyon.
- Trek up the river to the Blue Eye of Kapre, a natural pool with incredibly blue water.
- We stop at the mill on our way back.
Day 7: Valbona Pass
- Hike to the Valbona Pass (1812m) and then down to Valbona.
- Accommodation in guesthouse.
Day 8: Local life around Valbona
- Hike towards Kukaj’s hanging glacial valley.
- The road leads through the valley to a mountain lodge, where the local shepherds will offer us coffee.
Day 9: Hike to Dobërdol
- Transfer to Çerem and ascent to the Gashi Valley from there.
- Hike to the Dobrdol plateau with its glacial lakes by following the trail.
- Accommodation in tents.
Day 10: Gjeravica
- Hike via Dobrdol’s meadows and then along the slope to Gjeravica Mountain.
- Drive to Gjakova after descending to gropa e Erenikut.
Day 11: Gjakova and Lake Koman
- Gjakova’s Bazaar is a must-see.
- After that, we continue our Balkan Tour by ferry over Lake Koman.
- We disembark from the ferry in Koman and continue our journey to Tirana by car.
Day 12: Tirana
- We visit the Ethem Bey Mosque, the Skanderbeg Monument, and the National Historical Museum
- Dinner a la carte in a traditional Albanian restaurant.
Day 13: Transfer to airport
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers.
