Chocolate Forest Experience & Cahuita National Park Itinerary

• Province of Limon
  • The first half of the journey will be a city tour of Port Limon, where you will see notable structures such as the town’s First Baptist Church, the ancient train station, the town’s major church, and the Big Boy Stadium, the province’s sole baseball stadium.
  • The second stop is at a fruit stand, where you may sample tropical fruits such as Costa Rica’s finest pineapple! The tour guide will show you vegetation such as pineapples, Liberica coffee plants, sugar cane, and trees such as cacao, mango, and noni trees.
• Cahuita
  • From the outside, visit a banana plantation where our guide will tell many interesting things about this magnificent fruit, such as the cultivation, harvesting, processing, packaging, and exporting. Costa Rica is the world’s second-largest banana grower.
  • Chocolate Tours Cacao has a long and illustrious history on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast. For the first time, gourmet bean-to-bar chocolate tour participants will be treated to a chocolate sampling of various single-origin chocolates from small Costa Rican farms.
• Cahuita National Park. The Vargas Trail in Cahuita National Park: The Jungle Trail is a 2-kilometer hike through a secondary forest with beautiful scenery, diverse flora and fauna, and numerous opportunities to see Costa Rica’s incredibly fascinating different frog species, such as the red dart frog, howler monkey, white face monkey, two species of sloths, and more! Among the rich wildlife, visitors may view three-toed sloths and a variety of birds such as toucans, oropendolas, tanagers, hummingbirds, kiskadee, and other species, as well as squirrels and the beautiful butterflies that swarm the route.
