Reservations aren’t possible for every campground, though – some go by the “first come, first served” principle, and they tend to fill up rather quickly.
You can also get a backcountry camping permit, and Yosemite has some of the world’s finest locations for setting up camp in the wild.
Keep in mind that the national park’s roads are often closed during the winter season, so make sure you contact the information office to see whether or not the destinations you’ve set your sights on are available and reachable during the dates you’ve chosen.
